Clinical based remedial massage therapy aims at addressing the underlying cause of pain and restriction, rather than just treating the localized symptoms. The cause may be previous injury, overuse, stress and anxiety or complex combinations of all these. That is why a holistic approach to treatment is so vitally important.
The techniques I have studied, developed and practiced for over 20 years aim at doing exactly that, treating the cause of the dysfunction and pain. I utilize a combination of deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy and Myofascial release along with stretching and corrective exercise to assist the body’s innate ability to heal itself. No one heals anyone, therapy of any modality can only facilitate the process; hence I do not use the term “healer” when describing what I do.
Every client is individual and has different needs when it comes to treatment; I assess each client and draw upon proven techniques to create a personally tailored treatment plan.
For those times when massage therapy is not able to provide the desired outcome, I have in place a referral network of experienced health practitioners to refer my clients to.
I moved my practice to Fox Studios Australia (in Moore Park, Sydney) in 1999 after working with cast and crew of the first Matrix film. Whilst working on that film, I saw an important the need for professional massage therapy within the film and entertainment industry. I had already been working within the music industry, treating musicians from all genres for a number of years, so moving my practice to Fox placed me at the very heart of the film and entertainment industry in Australia.
Over the last 15 years I have worked with some of the world’s leading actors, musicians and dancers, providing the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality as is paramount when working with such high profile clients.
I have a comfortable studio at Moore Park, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, or I can attend your performance space, studio or hotel. I am also available for touring upon request. Please contact me on 0418 440 202 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment.
